Top Moments/Habits of 2010, y’all.
In no particular order, just scribbled down.
1. Featured in the BBC at the ITP Spring Show for SocialDrinkster, now known as Qmigo.
2. Moving out of the East Village to Brookyln into my own studio and finding the best neighborhood ever, Cobble Hill, Fall 2010.
3. Presenting at Microsoft Design Expo in Redmond, WA + meeting likeminded, design-inspirational people, Summer 2010.
4. Crashing/attending the Microsoft Social Computing Symposium in NYC, Winter 2010.
5. Treasuring the small circle of friends who meet my “dead body” removal list + help me help myself without asking.
6. Balancing life and work. I hit the limit in 2010 with way too many 12+ hour days.
7. Nike+ GPS iPhone app is the greatest motivation for me to game my way to exercise and “run, run, run.” Doing 12-15 miles a week was a record for me.
8. Pushing QMIGO further than I thought I had the abilities to for Fall 2010.
9. Tampering down social media usage. Quality > Quantity. Pretty much dropped FourSquare except as a way to remember venues.
10. Paying it foward. Giving back to the tech/academic community as much as I had acquired. Many people have helped me along the way of learning code, brainstorming, mentorship/advice.
Year’s Memorable anecdotes:
While playing a classmate’s social video game app that asked a party trivia question – “If you had to pick a show that reminded you of Cindy, what would it be?” The popular voted choice was “The Terminator.”
Talk on the ITP floor:
ITP classmate, Matt G. summarized me in 3 words: ” Charming, sharp & credible.”
ITP classmate, Sarah J. overheard me talking about code and said to me: “I love overhearing you talk about chron jobs.”
Facebook status while staying at my mom’s over winter break:
“Just reminded myself that my relationship with my family is alot like an indentured servant.”
“Every time my mom mentions how chubby I am, I just turn to her and give her my best Godzilla impression, foot stomping and monster bellowing.”
Facebook status posted during finals, fall 2010:
“If you were to poke me right now, I’d throw up PHP/MySQL code.”
Fun Videos:
Not the least. Watch me get smacked by a robotic arm. Around 11sec mark.

Oh, and me smacking someone for the ITP Thursday Night Out video. This as close as I’m getting to stunt woman.

Lovez.
I’ve had to drop foursquare as well with the 12 hour days. I was feeling like I had to turn in my ITPdom.
Also, guess who’s basically crashing the MS Symposium right now?
